Block Party – A one-day, music medley series of Motown Madness, jazz, and, gospel outdoor, evening and entertainment party that celebrates community, camaraderie, and culture to be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 12:00pm-7:00pm at the corners of Belmont & DeVilliers and the Belmont Cultural Center located at 432 West Belmont Street, Pensacola, FL 32501. This year’s theme: “THAT’S SO 70’s”, theme song: “Everyday People” by Sly & the Family Stone, accompanied by a “THAT’S SO 70’s Costume Contest- $10.00 Entry fee: 1st Place- $210.00, 2nd Place- $140.00, 3rd Place- $70.00. MAIN EVENT: ‘REAL LOVE’, a Motown entertainment group from New Orleans, LA, website: www.RealLoveEntertainment.com, and Opening Artist: Rechell Cook & the Regeneration Band, also hailed from New Orleans, LA. , joining them in the line-up are local favorites: Belmont Youth Band, Dance Konnection, Knee Deep Band, Violinist- John “P” Powell , and for culinary enthusiasts, enjoy a taste of Pensacola at the Culinary Demonstration, sponsored by Five Sisters Blues Cafe.
